I was born in the charming city of Alexandria, known for its rich history and, most importantly, the beginnings of cinema in Egypt. Living in this paradise city introduced me to the culture of cinematography. Her mythological and fantastical tales enchanted my mind and sparked my imagination. The world of storytelling captivated me. This fascination deepened my passion and desire to gain a better understanding of filmmaking. It led me on a personal and academic journey, and ultimately fulfilled my dreams of becoming a film director. Throughout my career, my constant need to watch a variety of films and stories has drawn my attention to international film festivals. This fueled the idea and hope of one day leading a film festival in my home country. Hence the inspiration behind establishing the Hurghada Youth Film Festival. As we begin our first year, our mission is to give young filmmakers the opportunity to express their art and the endless creativity of their imagination. I am proud that this festival was a dream of the past, and now it has become an achievement for the present.
